Donald G. (Don)


Age 78, of Penn Hills, on Monday, January 8, 2018, beloved husband of Sandra (Finkbeiner). Loving Father of Jeffrey (Valerie), Charles (Cindy), and Donald J. (Lisa); beloved grandfather of Matthew (Amanda), Tyler, Megan, Conner, Tanner, Carlie, Tommy, and Jentrie; loving great grandfather of Riley; brother of Margaret (Matthew) Szostak and the late Daniel William Gearhart; brother in law of Barbara Gearhart; also survived by and Uncle, John (Vera) Hunter and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don enjoyed archery for many year and once he retired from LTV Steel, he had time to compete in the National Senior Olympics, medaling each time. Don also enjoyed travel and he and Sandy had many memorable trips. Most of all, Don loved his family and was never happier than when family was near. Don was loved by all and has left us with many wonderful memories. He will be greatly missed. Friends received, Friday, 2-4 and 6-8pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, where a Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, 11:00 am.
