Charles E. "Chuck"
Age 86, of Murrysville, formerly of Penn Hills, born in Armstrong County on February 7, 1931, died on Friday, August 11, 2017. Beloved husband of 62 years to Madelyn (Alcorn) Snyder; father of Gail Snyder and Brad (Debbie) Snyder; grandfather of Alanna (Alec) McGlaughlin and Colin Snyder; brother of Evelyn Wall and the late Leone Pall, Lucille Wall, Zelia Yoder and Lillian Wall; brother-in-law of Paul (Carol) Alcorn; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck was a 32nd Degree Mason and proud US Navy Reserves Veteran. He graduated from Duquesne University and worked for Alcoa for 42 years, where he did extensive international travel. Friends received, Sunday, 6-9 pm and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. A Service will be held, Tuesday, 11 am in Zion Lutheran Church, where he was an active member. A committal service and interment will follow at 3:30 pm at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Armstrong County. Donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 11609 Frankstown Rd, Pgh, PA 15235.
