John J.
Age 86, of Murrysville, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Beloved husband of 65 years to Barbara (Reeves) O'Palenick; father of Valerie O'Palenick; Grandfather of Zachery O'Palenick and Jason (Lacey) Miller; Great Grandfather of Logan Brown, Tristan Miller and London Miller; also survived by a niece and nephews. John was a retired teacher from the Mt. Pleasant School District and owner of O'Palenick Accounting Services. He was a proud US Navy Veteran, member of the VFW, American Legion, Syria Shriners, as well as a Master Mason at Masonic Lodge #799, Plum Creek/Monroeville, where he served on the Charity Committee. Friends received, Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel,7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, where a Service will be held, Tuesday, 10:00 am. Interment will be Wednesday, 11am in Graham Cemetery, Franklin, PA. To honor John's memory, donations may be made to Masonic Lodge #799, 9521 Saltsburg Road, Pgh., PA 15239.
