Brian T. Soxman, Owner, Supervisor - Licensed Funeral Director

After growing up in and graduating from Penn Hills High School, Brian attended Point Park University with a major in Biology. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1998 and joined his father, Thomas J. Soxman, in their family business. Brian proudly serves on the Advisory Board at the Penn Hills YMCA. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Dek hockey and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. Brian and his wife, Brooke, have two sons, Troy Thomas and Fritz Harper. He and his family are members of Cornerstone Church in Murrysville.

Anna F. Zvirman-Nesbit, Co-Owner, Licensed Funeral Director - Certified Funeral Celebrant - Licensed Insurance Producer

Originally from Plum Boro, Anna was a 2003 graduate from Plum Senior High School. In 2006, she graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2007 and served as President of her class. She was a recipient of the Mu Sigma Alpha Award in recognition of Outstanding Academic Proficiency. Anna coordinates the funeral home’s Aftercare and Advanced Funeral Planning programs. Her outside interests include taking Zumba classes, baking and cooking. Anna, her husband Jim, their children, Ethan and Evelyn reside in Plum.  They are members of Our Lady Joy Roman Catholic Church.

Robert G. Mayer, Licensed Funeral Director

Robert is originally from Youngstown, Ohio. He was a 1960 graduate of Boardman High School. He received his pre-mortuary education at Youngstown University, majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology and Business. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1963 and served his internship with Davis-Velker Funeral Home in Boardman, Ohio. In 1967, Bob received his B.A. Degree from Youngstown University as a Biology Major.

Bob has held numerous positions in the funeral industry throughout his career. From 1967 - 1980, Bob was a Full-Time Instructor for the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Londyn Hutson, Student

Originally from Delaware, Londyn recently moved to Pittsburgh to further her education by enrolling at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  She enjoys going to church and taking every opportunity to speak with her family, especially with her 4 younger siblings.  

Lorraine Meredith, Office Manager

A lifelong resident of Penn Hills, Lorraine joined the funeral home staff in August 2017.  Prior to that, she worked for over 25 years at Perspectives in Export.  She has 3 sons and 5 grandchildren.  She enjoys bike riding, being with her grandchildren and spending time at her cottage in Pymatuning.  

Joe Rogalski, Greeter

For 32 years, Joe worked as a life insurance agent before joining the Soxman Funeral Home staff in 2014. A talented musician, Joe plays the saxophone in the Penn-Trafford Community Band and in the Monroeville Assembly of God Church Music Ministry where he and his wife are active members.  He and wife, Sue, live in Penn Hills with their 2 cats.  

Jean Kanouff, Greeter

Jean has lived with her husband, Dennis, in Plum over 50 years.  After graduating  from Clarion University, she worked as a librarian at Penn Hills School District, St. Maurice School, and for 30 years at Penn Hills Library.  She enjoys being with the family: son and daughter and their spouses and four grandchildren.  Jean has collected vintage clothing for forty years and is known locally for her fashion shows which she presents at nursing homes, libraries, churches and civic functions.  Jean and her husband enjoy traveling and have visited almost all the states including Hawaii and Alaska, and have ventured to fifteen of the European countries.  They are fifty year members of Trinity Tower Church in Penn Hills.  

Don Pelino, Greeter

Don retired from the railroad after 37 years of service.  He joined the funeral home staff in October, 2017.  He and Priscilla, his wife of 29 years, have 4 children, 6 grandchildren and are active members at Monroeville Assembly of God.  Don enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  

Patty Smith, Housekeeper

Patty was born and raised in Penn Hills and graduated from Penn Hills Senior  High School.  She has 3 children, Curt, Cassandra, Jessica and a grandson, Nolan.  Patty looks forward to spending time with her family and friends and enjoys sewing, crafts, painting, and beach.
